CUSTOMER INFORMATION:

ECA SURCHARGE APPLICABLE AS FROM 01/01/2015

Further to the new directive which will come into force on 1^st January 2015 all shipping lines will be obliged to lower, with immediate effect, the percentage of sulphur used in fuel in the Emission Control Areas (ECA) in all marine trade on Northern Europe (the Baltic, the North Sea and the English Channel) and on North America.

In order to recover this increase in fuel costs, all carriers will be compelled to apply ECA surcharge which will be mandatory and will be added to the already existing rates as from the 1^st of January 2015. This extra cost will be calculated based on the specific ECA surcharge levels in each individual trade.

We will inform you regarding the amount that will be additionally applied on each trade as soon as it is available to us by the carriers.
